====== Fernando Farfán ======
 I was born in [[http://www.guate360.com|Guatemala]], where I received my BS in Computer Science at [[http://www.uvg.edu.gt|Universidad del Valle de Guatemala]] in 2001.

I got my Masters degree in Computer and Information Sciences at [[http://www.fiu.edu|Florida International University]] in 2005, granted with a [[http://www.fulbright.org|Fulbright]] Scholarship.

Right now, I am pursuing my PhD degree in Computer Science at FIU, under the advise of [[Vagelis Hristidis|Dr. Vagelis Hristidis]] and [[Raju Rangaswami|Dr. Raju Rangaswami]]. My area of research is Databases and Storage.
